About the Company
| The Company | HEATING MAINTENANCE SERVICES LTD :- Is a Malvern-based family-owned firm, initially formed from the Service Department of the Modern Heating Company. Five fully trained and full-time Service Engineers carry out work on boilers of all types - oil and gas - in properties ranging from Starter Homes to Stately Homes across the Three Counties of Worcestershire, Gloucestershire and Herefordshire. In addition, Boiler and Warm Air Unit replacements are regularly carried out by the Installation Engineers, and more major works are readily arranged. Judy Christian, the Office Manager, has access to a wide range of spare parts, and maintains contact with the Service Engineers, to ensure a rapid and effective response to any emergencies. Paul Lucas, Managing Director, prepares and designs quotations, oversees new installation work, and provides technical assistance together with a detailed knowledge of control systems and wiring. Together they form a team with the experience, expertise and back-up to tackle your heating system. |
| The History | The history
of the company dates back to the early 1950's when Peter Lucas, father
of the present Managing Director, formed the Modern Heating Company,
Modern Heating quickly gained a reputation for service and quality
of workmanship on projects throughout the three counties, and as the
company grew a Service Department was created. With more and more properties having had central heating installed, emphasis shifted towards service and maintenance with a smaller installation team carrying out boiler replacements in addition to alterations and new installations, and in 1995 Heating Maintenance Services was formed by Mr. Paul Lucas. HMS is fortunate to have a large and loyal group of customers, and prides itself on its quality of service. |
| The Family |  Paul
Lucas, Managing Director,is a Chartered Engineer and a member of the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers, with wide experience of the design of domestic and commercial installations. Paul and Fi have two children, Fi is a Chartered Physiotherapist. Hobbies : Both Paul and Fi are dinghy sailors and compete regularly in club and national sailing competitions. |
