Cleaning Existing System
Boiler manufacturers recommend flushing of the system when a replacement
boiler is fitted, to clean out any sludge or other deposits which have
built up, and advise that the boiler warranty may be invalidated if this
work is not carried out. Heating Maintenance Services Ltd. have the purpose-designed
'Jet Flush' equipment to enable this to be done effectively and with minimum
disruption. This work is time-consuming however, and may cost between
£250 and £500 + VAT for a typical domestic system, dependent upon size
and complexity.
Even if you are not planning replacement of the boiler, you may wish to consider the benefits of this work. For systems without inhibitor, where the condition of the water is unknown, or where there are known circulation problems, we strongly recommend that flushing is carried out.
Magnetic Filters
A magnetic filter fitted on the return pipework to the boiler will provide on-going protection by attracting and holding any ferric material.
The filter is easily cleaned each year when the boiler is serviced.

HMS offer a 12 months
guarantee on all installations. In addition to regular servicing &
maintenance by appointment, HMS offer an optional SERVICESAFE
Maintenance Contract for future years. HMS carry a £2M Public Liability
Insurance.
